The Woodlands Hi-Efficiency
Hydrant Set or Kit comes with a Special Option. It is advisable to
ascertain what the relevant fire authority requires before purchasing
and installing, as different municipalities have different criteria.
The Standard is cap-top operated and has the valve placed directly on
the bend. The Special Option is hand-wheel operated and requires a
500mm spacer pipe between valve and bend, to allow adequate space for
the handwheel operation.
It also requires a larger valve cover for easy access. It would also
be possible to use
a cap-top valve in this version for practical reasons under certain
circumstances. |
